Title: Two Bodies Found in the Search for Missing Australian Couple Allegedly Killed by a Police Officer

The ongoing search for the missing couple, Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29, in Australia, has taken a tragic turn as police have discovered two bodies. Senior Constable Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, a 28-year-old police officer from New South Wales (NSW), has been charged with their murders.

Commissioner Karen Webb of NSW Police made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday, stating, “We’re very confident that we have located Luke and Jesse.” Lamarre-Condon had reportedly provided information to aid in the search for the missing couple.

The bodies, which have yet to undergo a forensic examination, were discovered in two surf bags filled with debris on a property situated in the NSW town of Bungonia. Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty confirmed that crime scene detectives were currently at the location investigating the grim discovery.

Webb expressed her sympathy for the families involved, stating, “Each day, each hour was an agonizing wait, so I’m relieved for the families.”

Davies, a flight attendant, and Baird, a former television presenter, were last seen at Baird’s home in the eastern Sydney suburb of Paddington on February 19. Concerns for their well-being heightened after their bloodied belongings were discovered in a skip container located in Cronulla, approximately 30 kilometers (18 miles) away.

Previously, police had reported that upon searching Baird’s home, they discovered evidence of blood, a “projectile,” and a fired cartridge case that matched Lamarre-Condon’s firearm.

Lamarre-Condon presented himself at New South Wales Police Headquarters on February 26, where he was charged with two counts of murder. He declined to apply for bail during his court appearance on Friday.
