26-Year-Old Man Accused of Killing Three Family Members and Carjacking in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
The small community of Falls Township, Pennsylvania, was shaken by a series of violent incidents that occurred on Saturday morning. A 26-year-old man, identified as Andre Gordon, is currently under custody for allegedly taking the lives of three individuals, including his 13-year-old sister, at two separate homes. The tragic events unfolded in Pennsylvania before the suspect fled to New Jersey, where he was eventually apprehended.
According to authorities, the first shooting took place at approximately 9 a.m., on Viewpoint Lane in Levittown, Pennsylvania. While driving a stolen vehicle from Trenton, New Jersey, Gordon allegedly entered the house where his 52-year-old stepmother Karen Gordon and his young sister Kera Gordon resided. With an “AR-15 style assault rifle,” Gordon fatally shot both individuals. Three other family members, including one minor, managed to hide during the attack and were not harmed.
Just minutes later, Gordon proceeded to Edgewood Lane, where he broke into another residence. There, he fatally shot 25-year-old Taylor Daniel, who was the mother of two of his children. Four other individuals were present in the home at that time, including children and Daniel’s mother, who sustained injuries from the assault rifle and was subsequently hospitalized.
After the shootings, Gordon carjacked a 44-year-old driver at gunpoint in the Dollar General parking lot in Morrisville. The driver was unharmed during the incident.
Around 11:38 a.m., the stolen Honda CRV was discovered abandoned in Trenton, New Jersey, prompting authorities to issue a shelter-in-place order for Falls Township as they searched for the suspect. However, despite initial reports indicating that Gordon was barricaded inside a Trenton home, authorities later revealed that he had managed to leave the premises before establishing a perimeter around the house. He was eventually taken into custody two blocks away from the assumed location, without incident or resistance.
The Falls Township Police initially believed Gordon to be in possession of an assault rifle and possibly additional weapons, though no further information regarding their legality has been released. The investigation remains ongoing, with officers searching the abandoned vehicle for any potential evidence related to the shootings. Gordon will be held in New Jersey before being extradited to Pennsylvania to face charges.
Authorities believe that Gordon knew all the victims except for the carjacked driver and that there were family ties between him and those in the Trenton house. Falls Township is approximately 28 miles northeast of Philadelphia, making it a close-knit community near the New Jersey border.
The violent incident shocked and saddened the Lower Bucks County community, with Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick expressing his condolences in a public statement. The investigation is ongoing, with federal and state law enforcement agencies collaborating to gather information on how Gordon came into possession of the weapons used during the shootings.
The tragic events have left a profound impact on both communities, and neighbors are working together to support one another in the aftermath of these senseless acts of violence.
