The guest list for Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding party was nothing short of impressive. Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, and Ivanka Trump were among the international attendees. From India, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, actor Shah Rukh Khan, and many other celebrities graced the event with their presence. Anant Ambani is a director at an energy business operated by Reliance Industries, the Indian conglomerate founded by his grandfather.
A Lavish Affair: Performances by Rihanna and David Blaine
Despite the fact that Anant Ambani’s wedding to his girlfriend Radhika Merchant is not scheduled until July, no expense was spared for this pre-wedding celebration. The party featured performances by pop superstar Rihanna and magician David Blaine, attracting an estimated 1,200 guests from Silicon Valley, Bollywood, and beyond.
Located Near Reliance’s Main Oil Refinery in Gujarat
The pre-wedding festivities took place in Jamnagar, a city in the western state of Gujarat, near Reliance Industries’ main oil refinery. The city’s airport reported a surge in activity, with around 130 flights arriving for the occasion. Chartered jets were made available to guests, along with the services of hair stylists, makeup artists, and drapists.
Supporting Local Artisans: Weaving a Tapestry of Dreams
The charitable arm of the Ambani family business, the Reliance Foundation, played a significant role in the preparations for Anant Ambani’s wedding. Weavers were deployed to create a “tapestry of dreams” for the nuptials, and visually impaired artisans were hired to make candles for guests. A new Hindu temple complex is being built specifically for the wedding and will later be opened to the public.
A Grand Gesture: Feeding 50,000 Villagers
In a grand gesture, the Ambani family hosted a communal dinner for over 50,000 villagers on Wednesday, 8th March, 2023.
